Today, we’re thrilled to share our fall roundup of new features and enhancements. This roundup brings a number of powerful new tools to automate and manage your work.

We’re especially excited to introduce the latest in our suite of AI tooling, bringing radical new efficiencies to compliance work. This next set of tools – focused on AI narratives – is designed to accelerate SAR filing by helping investigators write better narratives, faster.

Accelerate the SAR filing process with AI narratives

When it comes to SAR filing, the most time-intensive part, by far, is writing the narrative. We’ve heard from investigators that writing a SAR narrative can take anywhere from 30 minutes for more straightforward typologies to hours or even days for complex cases.

That’s where we believe AI can provide tremendous value. Our new AI narrative feature generates accurate, comprehensive SAR narratives, using your case data. Investigators get a clear, concise, and detailed draft that they can quickly review and add their trained perspectives to. You can think of it as a writing assistant, purpose-built for SAR filing.

We know that simply helping to write the narrative isn’t enough. You also need to know that what you’ve written meets regulatory standards and accurately represents the case data. That’s where AI validation comes into the mix. Hummingbird validates that narratives include all crucial case elements, are free of mistakes, and comply with FIU guidelines.

Together, our AI narrative features – narrative generation and narrative validation – assist compliance teams in streamlining the steps required to deliver accurate, complete work. The result: faster and better SARs.

Validate automation recipes with a new preview mode

Earlier this year, we released Hummingbird Automations, a simple yet powerful way to automate compliance workflows. Since then, our customers have created hundreds of recipes to automate all kinds of tasks. But there’s one question we’ve gotten a lot: How will I know if my recipe will work as expected?

To help answer that question, we’re introducing a new preview mode. When you put your recipe into preview mode, Hummingbird will automatically check for matching conditions without executing your automation. This allows you to validate that the automation will only affect what you intend it to, so you can enable your recipe with full confidence.

We’ve also improved the automation activity log, making it easier to investigate any issues with your recipe – for instance, if it isn’t executing as expected. Now, in addition to seeing when a recipe’s conditions were met, you can filter and sort by date, status, and more.

Simplify data management with new settings for custom information

We know every compliance program is unique. That’s why Hummingbird makes it easy to add custom information to the platform. And, now, we’ve made it even simpler to manage your custom data with a brand new settings page.

From the settings page, you can see and manage all of the custom information fields you have in Hummingbird – in one place. You can control where the data appears, such as on the cases dashboard or a specific section of a subject’s profile. You can also restrict the ability to edit certain values, for example, if you’re pulling in a risk score from an external system. Finally, you can even add descriptions to specify how the fields are being used.

Programmatically manage reviews & attachments with new APIs, plus additional API enhancements

Hummingbird’s robust APIs make it easy to manage your compliance data, enabling you to seamlessly get data onto and off the platform and keep all of your systems in sync. We’re expanding what’s possible with our Reviews and Attachments APIs. Now, you can manage reviews directly via the API – everything from assigning reviews to pre-populating tasks. With the Attachments API, you can automatically upload and retrieve files, for example, adding identity documents to customer profiles for onboarding reviews.

That’s not all! Hummingbird is introducing versioning to prevent breaking changes from interrupting your work. You’ll also be able to test new API features by using the preview version of our API. See everything that’s new with the Hummingbird API.

More product enhancements to improve compliance work

Get a detailed audit trail of changes to a subject’s profile

Hummingbird streamlines audits by providing you with a complete history of all pertinent changes. Just as with cases, you can now track changes to a subject’s profile, including what was changed, who made the change, and when it happened. 

Quickly see, filter, and sort transaction data on the cases dashboard

We’ve added the ability to view transaction data right on the cases dashboard, including net activity, the sum of all transactions, and the sum of flagged transactions. You can also filter and sort using the data, making it easy to prioritize and assign cases accordingly.
