Today, we’re excited to reveal a slate of powerful new features and enhancements. Our winter roundup delivers much-anticipated AI tools, new insights for managers, and so much more.
Amongst the highlights is Narrative AI, a brand-new toolkit for helping you file high-quality SARs faster. This toolkit brings you features to generate SAR narratives and automatically validate them for accuracy and completeness. We’re also introducing templates, allowing you to standardize your narratives while still leveraging AI to intelligently fill in the blanks.
For compliance managers, we’ve got a number of enhancements that make it easier to oversee your team and the platform. From improved visibility into team productivity and performance to greater flexibility in managing your data and cases, you now have even more tools to run your compliance program in Hummingbird.

Last quarter, we announced two new Narrative AI features, AI narrative generation and AI narrative validation. Both are designed to tackle the most time-consuming parts of SAR filing: writing the narrative and then checking it for accuracy and completeness.
AI narrative generation speeds up the writing process by intelligently synthesizing case data, including subject information, transaction data, and other key investigative details. Investigators get a concise, comprehensive draft that they can apply their trained eye to.
When paired with AI narrative validation, compliance teams can ensure their narratives not only accurately reflect the case data but also align with regulatory filing guidelines.
✨ We’re excited to introduce a much-anticipated and big enhancement to Narrative AI: AI snippets in narrative templates. With AI snippets, we’re bringing the power of AI to our templates. You can use AI snippets to indicate where you want AI to intelligently fill in the blanks. For example, you might instruct the AI to list all the case subjects or explain why the flagged transactions look suspicious. Now, you get the best of both worlds: consistent narratives in a standardized format and an accurate way to instantly analyze and populate your unique case data.
Our Narrative AI features seamlessly integrate into your investigators’ existing workflows, providing much-needed efficiency gains while also allowing you to keep the parts of your process that work for you. Together, these features both deliver massive time savings and improve the quality of your regulatory reporting efforts.

Building on our improvements from last quarter, we’re giving you even more flexibility and control over your custom data in Hummingbird. You can now see and edit custom data on transactions, allowing you to, for example, include additional customer or counterparty information. You can also filter, sort, and search the settings page to find the custom field you’re looking for faster. Finally, you’ll soon be able to specify the type of data that the field is being used for, such as text, number, or dropdown, helping keep your data clean and consistent.
These capabilities wouldn’t be complete without a new name that reflects our enhanced support for custom data. Starting today, “Other Information” will be known as “Custom Fields,” a change you’ll see reflected in both the platform and our help center.
We’ve also made several improvements to make it easier to administer the platform.
Finding and organizing your cases is now simpler than ever with case tags. Tags give you a lightweight, flexible way to categorize cases, such as by typology, priority, or team. You can use tags to filter the cases dashboard, making it easy to see and prioritize a subset of cases.
We’re continually expanding what you can do with our APIs – to make managing your data on the platform as seamless as possible. Our new API endpoints let you programmatically retrieve organization and case history, plus manage accounts and devices on a person or business’s profile, beneficial ownership relationships, case tags, and more.
We know having to manually manage users can be a pain. With SCIM support, you can automatically create and remove user accounts and manage badge assignments, using your existing Identity Provider (IdP). This time-saving configuration helps to ensure that only active users, in the correct groups, have access to your Hummingbird organization.
